A personal letter from Mercedes

There is nothing permanent except change
— Heraclitus

Dear friend,

My favorite song in the whole world is 'Cambia todo cambia' written by Julio Numhauser and sung by the famous Latin American singer Mercedes Sosa. It is a heartfelt and beautiful song that embraces change as an unavoidable part of life. I thought I would share this precious song with you as a way to open this letter.

The reason I am writing  to you is that my husband Martin got offered an amazing job opportunity in London and we will be relocating there very soon. As excited as I am for this new adventure, it is with a heavy heart that I have to let go of my twenty-two year old roots here, and of the special baby that Lana and I gave birth to five and a half years ago. Just like the Buddhist monks let their beautiful and elaborate sand mandalas be swept away by the sea, now it is my turn to release mine. I am excited to witness from afar how Lana together with our wonderful team of teachers and your support will continue to grow and nurture this amazing place. Every single one of you makes The Breathing Space a magical place.

I will be back in the studio Tuesday 21st and will be teaching until Saturday 25th of February. I would like to invite you all to come by after class on Saturday 25th between 12.00 - 14.00 for a hug and a cheer.

I want to thank every single one of you for your support all these years, especially those of you that have been by my side since my early days at Hot Flow and Hotpod Yoga! Even though I may take the role of the teacher at times I have learned just as much from you! It has been my honor to play a small part in your journey, and I am grateful for all that we have experienced together.

Please stay in touch! Feel free to always reach out to me on my personal email, or my personal Instagram (be aware of the cat pictures overload!)

With much love and deep gratitude,

Mercedes x
