Join our next 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, beginning September 2025 at The Breathing Space.

Rooted in the structure of Ashtanga yoga and adapted through a breath-centered lens, this modular, immersive training offers a path toward confident, embodied teaching and sustainable personal practice. Whether your goal is to teach or deepen your understanding, you’ll build the foundational skills of a thoughtful teacher—including anatomy, philosophy, sequencing, and real-world experience through mentorship and apprenticeship.

Who This Training Is For

This training is for dedicated students who want to deepen their personal yoga journey or prepare to teach from a place of authenticity and steadiness. Whether you plan to teach or not, you’ll gain tools that support your growth on and off the mat.


Format & Commitment

Modular Format:

Weekend modules meet once a month (Friday–Sunday) from September 2025 to May 2026. The structure allows time for integration, mentorship, and in-studio practice between modules.

Apprenticeship Track:

Refine your observation and assisting skills with guided studio hours, practical teaching experience, and 1-on-1 mentoring with Lana and the team.

Time Commitment:

  • 200+ contact hours (college-level / HBO equivalent)

  • 5–7 hours per week of self-study

  • Minimum 3x weekly in-studio practice (1 must be with Lana)


Curriculum Overview

  • The essence of vinyasa: breath and movement

  • Teaching principles and hands-on skills

  • Functional + subtle anatomy

  • Ashtanga Fundamentals: vinyasa count and structure

  • Yoga philosophy and self-inquiry

  • Sequencing + adjusting

  • Practice teaching and guided apprenticeship

  • Mentorship, feedback, and ongoing support

  • Friday 14:00 -17:00 | assignment discussion & practice teaching

  • Friday 17:00 - 18:00 | Fundamentals of Ashtanga led practice

  • Saturday 12:30 -18:15 | discussion/posture clinic & assisting / practical

  • Sunday 11:00 - 12:00 | attend vinyasa practice

  • Sunday: 12:45 -18:15 | classroom/anatomy/posture clinic/practice teaching

Certification:

Upon successful completion of written and practical exams, participants receive a Certificate of Completion. A recommendation to teach may be included based on individual readiness.
