Restorative Yoga Fundamentals
Timed towards the end of summer, when it’s natural to feel the desire to slow down, this Restorative Yoga Fundamentals workshop offers an afternoon of conscious rest. It’s a great opportunity for both students and teachers: students will learn how to build a home practice, while teachers will discover how to incorporate Restorative postures into their active classes.
Defined as ‘the use of props to support the body in positions of ease and comfort, to facilitate relaxation and health’, Restorative is the perfect complement to an active yoga practice, and is often the primary practice on moon days and rest days. You will learn about the therapeutic benefits of posture groups and come away with an adaptable sequence.
Note to students: This workshop content is the same as last year’s Conscious Rest workshop. More advanced Restorative workshops will be offered in the future – stay tuned.
